1. Who we are

This Privacy Notice describes how Stratus Air LLC (“we”, “us”), trading as Founder, collects and uses personal data when you use our website and platform (the “Service”). Stratus Air LLC is the data controller responsible for your personal data. You can contact us at support@founderandcompany.com.

2. Categories of personal data we collect

  • Account data: name, email address, hashed password, account preferences.
  • Profile & business data: business name, formation state, industry, onboarding answers, documents you upload to your folders.
  • Usage & device data: pages viewed, features used, IP address, browser user-agent, device identifiers, approximate location derived from IP, timestamps.
  • Support data: messages you send to support, including any information you choose to share.
  • AI interaction data: prompts and conversations you have with our AI advisor.
  • Cookies & similar technologies: essential session cookies and limited analytics cookies.

Payment card details are collected directly by our Merchant of Record, Paddle. We do not store full card numbers.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Provide the Service (account creation, document storage, AI advisor, onboarding) — contract performance.
  • Process payments and prevent fraud — contract performance and legitimate interests.
  • Security, abuse prevention, and platform integrity — legitimate interests.
  • Customer support — contract performance.
  • Product analytics and improvement — legitimate interests.
  • Legal & regulatory compliance — legal obligation.
  • Marketing emails (only if you opt in) — consent; you may withdraw at any time.

4. How we share your data

We share personal data with the following categories of recipients:

  • Merchant of Record — Paddle.com Market Limited: for sale of the product, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, invoicing, refunds, and chargebacks.
  • Hosting & infrastructure subprocessors: cloud hosting (Cloudflare), database & authentication (Supabase), email delivery providers.
  • AI subprocessors: Google and OpenAI for AI advisor responses.
  • Analytics & error monitoring providers in aggregated or pseudonymized form.
  • Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where reasonably necessary.
  • Authorities or third parties where required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. International transfers

Our subprocessors may process data in the United States and other countries. Where applicable law requires it, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

6. Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements (typically up to 7 years for billing and tax records). Uploaded documents are deleted within 30 days of account closure on request.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including the EEA, UK, and California) you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion (“right to be forgotten”).
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Receive a portable copy of your data.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, role-based access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong password and keep your credentials confidential.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies required for authentication and session security, and limited analytics cookies to understand product usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

11. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice.
